COVID-19 Digital Strategy

Working as part of the integral Communications and Marketing team, I managed the web and social media plan for Porirua City Council during the COVID-19 outbreak across New Zealand.

Social Media Reporting

Daily reports 7 days a week, during Alert Level 4 & 3 where produced and sent to respective teams, these reports included a breakdown of daily activity and where able to alert the EOC to any real time issues.

Social Media Digital Tools

Awario was used as a social media search tool for PCC to review, watch and learn real time discussions in the local area. The PCC's tool was also used at the EEC for the social media team to monitor nation wide real time social media and monitor selected keywords.

Content Scheduling

During the first weeks of Alert Level 4, we instantly alerted Mayor Baker to any new posts shared on Facebook, allowing her to share with her wider community.

In Alert level 4, week 2, content and messaging was put into a shared online document, which the Comm's and Marketing team where able to reference the weekly social media calendar, this was shared with the CEO in the weekly update to the business.
