I recently watched Around the World in 80 days with my son, he loved the film and thought it was a great adventure. This film was the Inspiration for "Around the World in Otaki". My angle, compare some of the most beautiful locations in Otaki with equally beautiful locations from around the world. Luckily, I had photographs of Otaki to hand, but to find the comparison photographs I searched the internet.

I selected a series of photographs from around Otaki and began my search, it took a few days to find the perfect photographs, but because Otaki is such a beautiful place, it wasn't that difficult to compare with countries and cities such as The Swiss Alps, a beach in Thailand, Stone walls in the Yorkshire Dales and the Scottish Highlands.
Below is a Facebook post of one of the comparisons, not that I'm bias towards my hometown, but there's not much difference between these gorgeous locations!

It was a very popular Blog entry with the local community, I posted the images to Facebook, Twitter and Google+ with a link to the blog.
