I started my social media career using LinkedIn in 2009
Using this platform as a source of revenue and lead generation while working at a financial consultancy company.
And since then I've been hooked on digital!
My Story
I started my career in 1999 as a Window Dresser for a Women's Fashion Chain, using my design and creative skills to produce exciting Window and in-store Displays. I then took those creative skills and moved into Marketing, and in early 2007 I found the passion for Digital.
I honed my digital craft while living in London for 15 years, finding a passion for LinkedIn at Jefferson Wells, I then started work for a Salesorce.com Implementation company which allowed me to expand my social media and digital knowledge.
During this time I implemented a Facebook and Salesforce.com tool which generated new leads directly from social media, this solution was nominated for Best Social Media Tool at the UK Social Media Awards, I was also nominated for Innovative Digital Campaign award for "Chatter Challenge" salesforce campaign.
I then joined the team at global technology company, CSC (now called DXC), and created a programme of internal online and face to face social media training workshops, which saw a dramatic growth from employees engaging with the business and most importantly with customers.

As the social media expert within the digital transformation team at DXC, I successfully provided the the consulting team with a vision for social media at Virgin Trains. Invited by FutureVersity to speak at a "Speed Dating" event, focused on inspirational speakers discussing with FutureVersity participants, on workplace passions. I discussed by passion for digital marketing and social media.
"Podcast Co-Host for Poopology Podcast which brings together women of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds and colours to discuss the trials and tribulations of being a modern warrior woman. Special guests and regular friends will join host Eve Laws and myself as the co-host Claire Roper. We laugh, chat and giggle our way through discussions, from the 'shitty' to the lighter side of life."
At Condeco Software, a global workplace business, I was the Global Content Creator, and creating a range of content from infographics, thought leadership, ebooks and case studies. I project managed the creation of the annual Workplace Research report, which brings together 750 global leaders to understand and evaluate the future of the workplace.
"Identified the need for employees to have a better understanding of social media and implemented global training sessions, focusing on LinkedIn. Face to face sessions in New York and London, and online workshops for Sydney, Singapore, Paris and Frankfurt offices."
