As part of the Women in Technology campaign, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Penny Haslam, former BBC presenter, speaker, and confidence coach. Penny brought her signature energy and insight to the campaign by contributing a thought leadership article focused on female empowerment in the workplace — and it resonated deeply with our audience.

Finding Your Voice

In her article, Penny tackled the real issues that women face in tech and professional environments: imposter syndrome, visibility, self-doubt, and the pressure to meet unrealistic expectations. With a mix of personal anecdotes and actionable advice, she explored how women can build confidence, speak up, and take space — even in rooms where they’re the minority.

Empowerment with Practical Impact

What made Penny’s piece so powerful was that it didn’t just inspire — it offered practical strategies. From finding your "confidence anchor" to using body language and voice as tools of influence, Penny gave readers a roadmap to become more present, persuasive, and powerful at work.

A Message That Landed

The article was featured prominently on the campaign’s landing page and quickly became one of the most viewed and shared pieces in the series. It struck a chord across industries, with readers praising its honesty, warmth, and relevance. For many, it was a turning point — a moment of reflection and motivation.

Continuing the Conversation

Penny’s contribution reminded us that confidence is a skill, not a trait — and that empowering women in tech isn’t just about representation, but also about giving them the tools to lead, influence, and thrive.
