To better understand how the next generation views the evolving world of work, I brought together a broad group of Gen Z participants (born between 1995 and 2015) for a dedicated Think Tank session focused on the future of the office.

With Gen Z entering the workforce in increasing numbers, their perspectives are essential for shaping workplace strategies that are not only future-ready but also relevant and inclusive. This initiative was designed to give them a platform — and to connect them directly with industry leaders.
A Two-Part Think Tank Experience
The session was structured in two engaging sections:
🔹 Part One: Asking the Big Questions
In the first session, Gen Z attendees had the opportunity to pose their questions directly to the CEO and Head of Product Strategy & Design at Condeco. It was a unique, open conversation where topics ranged from flexible working and wellbeing, to purpose-driven culture, sustainability, and the role of tech in enabling better experiences.
The session gave senior leadership a chance to hear firsthand what Gen Z expects from their workplaces — and gave participants an unfiltered look at how leaders are thinking about the future.
🔹 Part Two: A Conversation with WorkTech Academy
The second half of the Think Tank was a one-on-one discussion between participants and Professor Jeremy Myerson of WorkTech Academy, a globally recognised expert on the future of work and workplace design. Jeremy shared insights on key trends such as hybrid models, smart buildings, and the emotional role of space — offering the Gen Z group a rare chance to align their personal expectations with industry predictions.
Why It Mattered
This wasn’t a focus group — it was a genuine exchange of ideas across generations, helping to inform product strategy, workplace design, and broader cultural considerations. It was also a reminder that the workplace of tomorrow can’t be built without the voices of those who’ll inhabit it.
✨ Gen Z aren’t just employees of the future — they’re co-creators of it.
