Collaborating with the Marketing Manager and Videographer we created the award winning video for "At the Heart of Our City: Strategic Framework for Children and Young People in Porirua." which highlighted the strategy put together by the Principal Advisor for Children and Young People.

2021 WON: Active Park of the Year
The Plimmerton Domain Dog Recreation Area (Te Papa Tākaro Kurī o Te Papa Rēhia o Taupō), serviced by Porirua City Council, was named Active Park of the Year.
The Active Park Award recognises the park’s commitment to accessibility, community engagement, and wellbeing. I was part of the small team who created the video entry for the "The Plimmerton Domain Dog Recreation Area" video entry.
2020 NONIMATED: LGFA Award for Transforming Services Delivery
Nominated: During the 2020 Lockdown created a fluid, real-time digital strategy to manage Porirua City Council, Te Rauparaha Arena and Porirua Libraries. Adjusting our communications in real time to deliver timely and relevant content.
This also required an online database solution for the Love Local Campaign, part of the Covid-19 recovery plan. Created a web based solution, allowing business owners to submit their details via a digital form and a Facebook Group, called Love Local - Porirua. Giving business owners and the local community to engage with each other.

I have experience with many forms of video content, from creating stories, award applications, to developing existing content. From utilising keynote speakers and conference content and creating it into usable and digestible content. I know how and when to use video, animated video, fun boomerangs and GIF.
TV Episode, Making it Big in London | London Live TV
Approached to appear in an episode of London Live. London Live is a television channel in London, England. The channel transmits local news, current affairs, sports, arts, events and entertainment. We focused the episode on the Future of the Workspace, included interviews with CEO Paul Statham and Professor Jeffery Meyerson, Office design expert, WorkTech academy. The output of the episode generated an opportunity for the business to expand it's market reach to a wider audience. Watch the video here

In collaboration with Porirua City Council and Whittakers, we created a short bite sized video for a competition for the 2021 Expo, this competition encouraged people to enter their details while they were visiting the expo in Porirua - "Win a Year's Supply of Chocolate" using Facebook paid and organic marketing to promote the expo.

I wanted to try out a digital platform called Sparkle, and used the option of an explainer video to highlight in a fun way the different ways people in Otaki say hello to each other.

As it's children's day, why not let the kids take the lead! We empowered a team of young people at our children's day event at Aotea Lagoon to take over Porirua City Council's social media platforms and create their own content to share in real time on the day. It was a fantastic result, and the kids (and parents) really enjoyed themselves.

I created a functional think tank session to solve the issue of internal communication options within a global technology firm with 18-24 year olds. This animated video was played at the beginning of the workshop as an introduction.

The brainchild of Eve Laws, Poopology Podcast brings together women of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds and colours to discuss the trials and tribulations of being a modern warrior woman. Special guests and regular friends. This animated video promotes the podcast and uses fun statistics, it was created using a mobile app called InShot.

During the New Zealand COVID-19 Lockdown in 2020, I wanted to capture a moment in time with my three (very active) children, and created a daily video diary of my children's activities. I captured their antics on my smartphone and using a mobile phone App called In-Shot I was able to quickly edit the video and upload to Facebook.

A social media campaign advertising a local ice cream business, using a local girl, Samantha, who happily posed for a series of photographs for an ice cream. I overlayed the images with cartoon style animation for a super cute result.

Oversaw the digital team who filmed, edited and produced the wrap up Love Local 2021 Video. Myself and the team where on location during the expo, filming, taking photographs and posting social media in real time. We interacted with stall holders and vendors throughout the day, with a target of taking a photograph of every vendor, which was achieved. Watch the video

At Porirua City Council we remind our residents to re-register their dog registrations with an annual 360 digital campaign. Instead of the usual stock images, I created a series of fun messages and paired them with a GIF from GIPHY.com - this is a cost effective way to use GIF files and a fun and conversational way of getting the message across.

Online holiday programme | Porirua Library
Wanting to move away from dependancy of Facebook, I worked closely with Porirua City Libraries to create an online video experience for tamariki during the school holidays.
Creating a online landing page, incorporated with YouTube and Porirua Library Children's Chat Facebook Group to create an online experience. Videos where edited and filmed with our videographer, uploaded to YouTube and scheduled to publish as per the schedule. We worked with stakeholders, entertainers and businesses to create a magical library of videos.
Antenno mobile app | Porirua City Council
Porirua City Council use a mobile app service called Antenno, allowing to instantly send messages to local residents with important messages. To promote the use of this app in Porirua and to increase users, I worked with the Graphic Designer to create a series of animated gifs with messaging encouraging people to download and use the App. This campaign saw a rise in App subscriptions across Porirua.

Porirua City Council updated the climate change strategy to complement the release of the report, I created an organic and paid social media campaign using a series of animated video.
These video complimented a landing page which hosted further information, a survey, contact details, white papers, reports and video for the community to reference.

Multi language | Maori, Samoan & English
Porirua is a diverse city, with nine pacific languages
across. I worked with a small team to create a video explaining the importance of the Long Term Plan. The main challenge was incorporating three languages into a 2 minute video. The Mayor, Deputy Mayor and a Councillor appeared, shot in various wards across the city. Working with the Digital Coordinator I incorporated best practice for subtitles, with three languages and set expectations for the stake holders.

Baby Gym Video Series | Te Rauparaha Arena
I project managed the delivery of seven 20 second videos to promote the baby gym facilities at Te Rapharaha Arena in Porirua. The videos are hosted on the website, YouTube and an organic and paid social media campaign targeting parents in the local region.
